Section 1. Diseases of the respiratory
Acute lung abscess (abscessed pneumonia). Called more or less limited cavity formed by the melting of suppurative lung tissue. Pathogen – a variety of microorganisms (usually Staphylococcus aureus). Characterized by reduction of general and local protective functions of the body due to aspiration into the lungs and bronchi foreign body, mucus, vomit – with alcohol intoxication, after convulsive seizure or unconscious. Contribute to chronic diseases and infections (diabetes, blood disorders), disturbance of the drainage function of bronchi, the long-term use of glucocorticoids, cytostatics and immunosuppressants.
Symptoms and flow. More common in middle-aged men, two thirds of patients abused alcohol. The disease begins acutely: chills, fever, chest pain. After the breakthrough of pus in the bronchi, a large amount of purulent sputum, sometimes mixed with blood and odor. Over an area of lung disease initially weakened auscultated breath after breaking abscess – bronchial breathing and vlazhpyehripy.Within 1-3 months of a favorable outcome can occur: a thin-walled cyst in the lung or focal pneumosclerosis, an unfavorable outcome – becomes chronic abscess (cm)
